Angela Vargas aka Fosforita aka Firecracker:
Ecuadorian power womxn, multidisciplinary artist, percussionist and Dj based in Toronto. Fosforita holds deep roots within South American & African diaspora music in general, Having grown up in scorching hot city of Guayaquil obligated her to dance merengue, salsa & vallenato almost every night. Passionate about all kinds of music begins a collection of records that goes from San Juanito, Psychedelic Cumbia, Salsa, Samba, Forro, Tropicalia to Plena music from Puerto Rico and many more Classic Latin Bass 45s. Moving to Toronto Fosforita brings that Ecuadorian farra way of party and GuauaBeat came to be.

YoDub Selectah

Since a young age , YoDub has been influenced with many music styles all his life. From Heavy Rock,Punk Rock to Ska and Reggae, Dub, Hip Hop Cumbia and more… With a long list of music background what a better idea of having him Djing for the night.

Recently in a couple different parties where Yodub was the DJ of the night, we heard very good comments from the people that they really like his selection of music.

Erick Paredes ( Sustainable Records)
Born in the Bronx, New York to Peruvian parents, Erick’s musical journey started at an early age break-ing and beat-boxing with friends. Extensive traveling at an early age influenced his musical style and perspective to be diverse and multicultural by nature. His first release came as a collaboration for a number of underground labels. His work helped define the sound of Miami during the early nineties. Erick’s first solo release was for the celebrated underground label Vibe records with an E.P. titled Tribal Jazz which fused tribal music with Jazz. To the delight of his critics, he went on to produce a slew of singles for labels such as Murk’s Oscar G’s Kumba Records and George Alvarado’s Nightbeat Records. He continued pioneering the fusion of electronic music with other styles, such as Tribal Jazz ( Vibe Records ) and “ Machu Pichu “ (Night beat Records), which explores the mix of Afro – Peruvian rhythms and house.

A period of inter-personal growth and self discovery soon took Erick’s journey into deeper experimentations with dub, drum and bass, ambient and resonance, Bio feed back ,
And music for healing culminating with the production of Miambient (Whirling / Virgin ), in collaboration with Mark Christopher founder of the world first Internet’s electronic music station, The production of the CD brought the talents of some of the electronics’ music finest such as Coldcut and it received much acclaim. Miambient stands today as a much sought-out Classic and is celebrated today as a 3 day gathering and event during WMC.

The journey of music and life took Erick’s path to India and Nepal for an extended period of time, where he was able to merge his musical ideas with ancient practices. He then spent a year living in the Andes of Peru where he has sharpened his vision. He is currently living between Miami and Toronto recording and continually developing projects and his sound for his production company and Record label Sustainable Recordings.

A highly specialized Producer / Dj that has created an impressive track record. His productions and performances have taken his talents to some of the most prestigious clubs and biggest events on the planet

Erick was the “Midnight DJ” at the Caras Magazine New Year’s Eve celebrations in Rio De Janeiro.
